This also meant I had plenty of “alone time.” As a result, a lot of cool things have...

I had a lot of fun hanging with some friends at the climbing gym tonight. Started the night with some bouldering and I’m definitely noticing an improvement in my technique. Problems that before seemed to difficult just by looking at them, I am now at least able to make progress on. After bouldering I got persuaded into some lead climbing. This is normally not a big deal, except that the...

Type Talk at Work
Me: He's an "F" too, isn't he?
Tony: Ugh. I don't know. This place is being overrun by F's.
Me: What? It is not!
Tony: It's like the zombie apocalypse, but with hugs.

Even though the sites I work on haven’t reached the scale of Facebook yet, it’s still very interesting to learn how they have solved some interesting problems and manage their infrastructure.

A new opportunity
For almost the past four years I have had the great opportunity to serve on staff at Resurrection Life Church as their Web developer. Over that time I have been able to be apart of an awesome and talented team, working on a wide range of interesting projects. I have definitely learned a lot during this time. And even though working for a church can be a little difficult at times, (I know that...

5,000th time is the charm, right?
This feels like what is my 5,000th blogging attempt. Since I have had access to the internet I have made many attempts over the years to try and blog, but for some reason it would never last. It’s also hard, for me anyway, to write sometimes when you know no one is reading what you post. But with some recent stuff going on with me, and stuff I am working on, I thought I would give this...
